Shoi Parker is an advanced family nurse practitioner who brings a broad skill set to outpatient and primary care settings. Working with Dr. Amir Alizadeh, she integrates a caregiving perspective with primary care specialist input to create care plans for patients with complex medical needs. 

Prior to enrolling in Rhode Island College's R.N.-B.S.N. program, Shoi Parker held an M.B.A. and worked in financial services domestically and abroad. She attributes her decision to become a nurse to the exceptional care she received during the birth of her first child. She was awarded a 2014 Student Honor Roll Scholarship, received the Nursing Faculty Award for academic excellence, and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society for nurses.

With a strong foundation in advanced nursing and patient-centered care, she attends to patients in North Providence, Cranston, and East Greenwich, Rhode Island.

Shoi Parker, FNP-C believes that ongoing training, leadership support, and access to appropriate resources all shape how nurses perform, and hospitals that invest in these areas tend to see better patient outcomes and improved clinical indicators.

Shoi Parker graduated from Rhode Island College in 2015, renowned for its strong nursing and health sciences programs that help graduates transition into compassionate healthcare roles.

She completed Advanced Medical Training in 2023 at the George Washington University School of Medicine, where she refined her skills and interdisciplinary collaboration and received rigorous training through interprofessional education with medical facilities and allied health programs, leadership training, and health policy instruction that prepares nurses for advanced practice, research, and community health roles.

Recognized as a Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Rising Star of Nursing, she has contributed proposals to STTI, reflecting a strong commitment to advancing nursing science and professional leadership and is also a select invitee to the MA-RI Partners Investing in Nursing’s Future Interprofessional Education Collaborative Annual Conference, where she engages with colleagues on collaborative care and nursing education initiatives.
